Dawn and waiting.<\/h4>\n<p>Gradually an apparition and one can distinguish a body levitating in space, in a spiral movement, with its origins lost in the inaugural vapors.<\/p>\n<p>One after another, five bodies join the first, executing and repeating like a canon the same movements. Four female and two male dancers are dressed almost identically in trousers and T-shirts one over the other: corresponding to the curved geometric forms and the perpetual movement, there is a symbolism of colors, with the blue, intermingled in delicate and warm shades.<\/p>\n<p>They move in a multi-polar space which impregnates them completely and which embraces independent directions, necessary and endless, producing a contrasting feeling of abundance and deficiency. Like being in the distance, feeling alone and together at the same time, they seem to be suspended in cosmos, as if their weightlessness defies heavenly laws or as if they are surfing on the peak of a flexing wave.<\/p>\n<p>The structure of the movement alternates between the concave and convex, the curves and the straight lines, the rising and the falling, the continuing movements and the motionless stasis. It may trigger one to think about the rhythmic contraction of a heart, systolic and diastolic, or at the slow and regular rate of the pulse.<\/p>\n<p>But this is in an effort to bring in something different from the repetitive movement, which always returns to the same place. By incorporating the game of interaction between bodies and the variations of perspective, through the lapse of time, transformations are operating, sensations emerging, and situations created. The attention is drawn to smallest details of movement. There is no border between inside and outside, between the invisible and the sensible. Through its organic quality, the movement witnesses the transference of energy, which acquires its source under the skin\u2019s surface, in order to elevate it and propagate it to the extremities.<\/p>\n<p>The twisting of the joints at the wrist allows the renewal and rhythm of the cadence. The curves of the spine and the hips, and the oscillations depict an ornamental dimension of this style, which recreates the arabesque, its asymmetries, and its perpetual capacity to bend and meander in many forms.<\/p>\n<p>The music by Sir Richard Bishop accentuates the special aura of these movements.<\/p>\n<p>Dance and music unite and converse, allowing the acoustic dimension to fill the space. The rippling succession of figures echoes the variations of the same musical theme. The music itself guarantees a dramatic function building up its intensities until the finale: the space between each note reflects the gossamer-like embroidery which electrify to some dissonant form towards the end. The space shrinks and confines the movement creating a rhythmic trance in a concentric circle. The bodies fuse under the influence of a fatal attraction. The light exposes the trance-like bodies, subjected to boundless acceleration. The scene suggests unfathomable depths, a black hole which would inhale and absorb the bodies. A strange end of double relaxation occurs where the dance seems to get engulfed by its own phantasm which is also its highest degree of incandescence. On the brink of merging with its unlimited desire, the dance surpasses it own abilities in a kind of voluptuous gluttony, which attests to its own weakness and accomplishment. Quatre danseuses et deux danseurs v\u00eatus \u00e0 l'identique, pantalon et superposition de tee-shirts :\u00a0aux formes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques courbes et au mouvement perp\u00e9tuel correspond, dans la symbolique des\u00a0couleurs, le bleu, celui des costumes d\u00e9licatement moir\u00e9s et r\u00e9chauff\u00e9s d'un trait d'ocre.\r\n\r\nIls \u00e9voluent dans un espace multipolaire, qui les impr\u00e8gne totalement et d\u00e9crivent une trajectoire\u00a0autarcique, n\u00e9cessaire et infinie, dont \u00e9mane un sentiment contrast\u00e9 de pl\u00e9nitude et d'absence.\u00a0Lointains, \u00e0 la fois seuls et ensemble, ils semblent en apesanteur, fusionnant avec l'espace, comme\u00a0port\u00e9s par les lois de la m\u00e9canique c\u00e9leste, ou par la cr\u00eate flexueuse d'une vague.\r\n\r\nLa structure du mouvement fait alterner le concave et le convexe, la courbe et la ligne droite, le descendant et l'ascendant, le continuum et la station immobile. On songe \u00e0 la contraction rythmique d'un coeur, systole et diastole, \u00e0 la pulsation lente et r\u00e9guli\u00e8re.\r\n\r\nMais c'est pour faire advenir du diff\u00e9rent que le mouvement it\u00e9ratif fait revenir le m\u00eame : par le jeu des interactions entre les corps, des variations de perspective, par le travail du temps, des\u00a0transformations s'op\u00e8rent, des sensations surgissent, une situation se cr\u00e9e ; et l'attention est rendue\u00a0aux d\u00e9tails infimes du mouvement. Nulle fronti\u00e8re entre le dedans et le dehors, entre l'invisible et le sensible : de par sa qualit\u00e9 organique, le mouvement t\u00e9moigne d'un passage d'\u00e9nergie, qui prend sa source sous la surface de la peau pour la faire remonter et la propager vers les extr\u00e9mit\u00e9s.\r\n\r\nLes torsions du poignet nouent les reprises, rythment la cadence. Les ondulations de la colonne vert\u00e9brale, les d\u00e9hanch\u00e9s, les oscillations signent la dimension ornementale de cette stylistique qui \u00e9voque l'arabesque, ses asym\u00e9tries, sa facult\u00e9 incessante de s'incurver en volutes et m\u00e9andres.\r\n\r\nLa musique de Sir Richard Bishop accentue l'aura si particuli\u00e8re des mouvements.\u00a0Danse et musique s'\u00e9pousent et dialoguent, rendant sensible la dimension acoustique de l'espace. Aux variations sur le m\u00eame th\u00e8me musical, fait \u00e9cho la succession des figures. La musique assure\u00a0une fonction dramaturgique et distribue les intensit\u00e9s jusqu'\u00e0 la phase finale : des notes espac\u00e9es en broderie arachn\u00e9enne, elle vire au phras\u00e9 \u00e9lectris\u00e9 et dissonant.\r\n\r\nL'espace s'atrophie et confine le mouvement, pris d'un tournis rythmique, dans un cercle\u00a0concentrique. Les corps s'agr\u00e8gent sous l'emprise d'une attraction fatale. La lumi\u00e8re contient la\u00a0transe des corps, en proie \u00e0 une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration \u00e9perdue. La sc\u00e8ne sugg\u00e8re des profondeurs abyssales,\u00a0un trou noir qui aspire et avale les corps.\r\n\r\nEtrange final \u00e0 double d\u00e9tente, o\u00f9 la danse para\u00eet s'ensevelir dans son fantasme, qui est aussi son\u00a0plus haut degr\u00e9 d'incandescence : au point de rencontre avec son d\u00e9sir d'illimit\u00e9, elle s'exc\u00e8de elle-m\u00eame, dans une sorte de d\u00e9voration voluptueuse, attestant \u00e0 la fois son \u00e9puisement et son\u00a0accomplissement.
